Cooped Up: The Film Festival (2020) is a live Zoom presentation of short films made by artists at home.

The first festival on June 1, 2020 included films by HDD/NW, Conrad Kaczor, Himerria Wortham, Kiel Moton and Heidi Duckler, followed by a discussion with the artists. The films included dancers, chickens, a cello and a pink couch.

The second iteration, Cooped Up 2, took place on June 29, 2020 and included films by Erin Delaney, Heidi Duckler, Raymond Ejiofor and Robot Koch, Conrad Kaczor, Kiel Moton, and Jennifer Wright.

The third iteration, Cooped Up 3, on August 3, 2020 premiered HDD/NW’s Body is Home, filmed at Keller Fountain Park, followed by a discussion with filmmaker 2SidesFilm, composer Jennifer Wright, and Zeljka Carol Kekez from PLACE.

The fourth installment, Cooped Up 4, took place on December 14 with these films: Lost and Found by Heidi Duckler, Alleyways by Conrad Kaczior, and Littlewood by Carla Mann.

Cooped Up 5, took place on April 12 with the premiere of Into the Distance, a film by Heidi Duckler, which investigates the challenges of finding intimacy in our post pandemic world of isolation. Jennifer Wright shared an at-home music performance film titled Cooking for One. And Founder and Artistic Director Heidi Duckler, graphic designer Traci Larson, and photographer Cristal Tappan as they discussed Heidi Duckler Dance/Northwest’s upcoming project in Portland’s Peninsula Park Rose Garden, Perennial.
