The “Sequence” is led by Heidi Duckler, Artistic Director of HDD/NW and renowned choreographer. Duckler has created more than 500 original site-specific, interdisciplinary works.that encourage civic engagement and shed new light on historical sites. Duckler will collaborate with 12 dance artists and four musicians who represent a range of cultural backgrounds, mirroring the rich diversity of the downtown Portland community.
Sarah Beaty (tenor soprano) will sing at The Source and lead the audience down the pathway. The dance artists performing at the LoveJoy and Keller Fountain include: Alejandro Perez, Barbara Lima, Charles Roy, Maija Knapp and Sasha Rivero. Original music by violinist Joe Kye and percussionist Machado Mijiga. The dance artists performing at Pettygrove Park include Brynna Hurwitz, Colleen Suzanne, Larissa Jeffreys, Laurie Newman, Leru Adams, Robert Boutin, and Tim Van Worman. The work is accompanied by Eric Molina on saxophone.
