Heidi Duckler Dance Northwest is proud to present Come As You Are, an annual festival at PLACE studios on Saturday, March 14. The intimate evening will provide an inside look at HDD/NW’s process of creating a major work of movement, place, and storytelling. Heidi Duckler will work with dancers, Charles Roy and Daniel Giròn and composer/percussionist Machado Mijiga, creating a prologue to a new site specific work inspired by John Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath. This piece merges music, movement, image and architecture in a provocative transformation of place and community. Guests are invited to enjoy wine and snacks in a relaxed, salon-style environment that encourages creative conversation with the artists. Come As You Are is an immersive celebration of collaboration, creativity, and the gathering of community.
