Using the company’s signature site-specific approach, Whistling in the Dark animated the terraced outdoor courtyard at Disjecta Contemporary Art Center with sultry, agile movement. Against the glowing backdrop of the setting summer sun, two local dancers mixed ballroom and breaking–with a bit of salsa thrown in for good measure–to transform the dark into a landscape of intimacy, intrigue, and connection.
