This year, HDDT/NW held its annual fundraiser on August 4, 2016. The evening kicked off with Heidi Duckler and NW Board Members hosting a Meet-and-Mingle in the spacious, floor unit of Killian Pacific’s 240 SE Clay building. Dancers, musicians, and Portland art-lovers were all shoulder to shoulder as the afternoon turned to evening. It was heart warming to see so many new faces and so many returning HDDT/NW supporters.
As the sun started to set over the city, the group was then led to the main attraction of the evening- the No Stopping performance. Musical compositions by Tim Durouch and Brent Woodson Smith turned the SE industrial venue into an engaging stage. Performers Kiel Moton, Nicholas Petrich, Erin DeLaney and Jen Hackworth awed audiences as they transversed across, over, infront of, and behind Portland’s old Taylor Electric Building graffiti-covered walls. The show received rave reviews and continued on for two following performances Friday and Saturday evening.
