Painting Workshops with Oliver Casillas

Discover the power of visual storytelling with muralist Oliver Casillas in this hands-on mural painting workshop for Las Adelitas residents and the general public. The mural painting will be on repurposed-doors that will be incorporated into a set explored by dancers in a performance of A Garden of Doors in the garden at Las Adelitas later in the year. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or already love to paint, this is your chance to explore creativity, connection, and community through mural art. A final showcase of the colorful painted doors will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 4:00pm with music and refreshments.
This workshop is part of an ongoing community-based project, A Garden of Doors, to bring accessible arts programming to Las Adelitas residents and the community, nurturing local talent and celebrating diverse stories through repurposed doors.
