Heidi Duckler Dance Northwest will present an illuminating outdoor performance, The Inhabitants of this DREAM, at the downtown Keller Fountain as part of the Portland Winter Lights Festival on Friday, February 14th at 6:00 PM. This one-of-a-kind dance performance, set against the backdrop of the stunning wintertime glow of the fountain, promises to be a mesmerizing fusion of light, movement, and public art.
The Inhabitants of This DREAM is a site-specific performance that explores the intersection of dance, architecture, winter lights and music. The performance will feature the talented dancers of Heidi Duckler Dance Northwest, Charles Roy, and Barbara Lima, who will engage with the architecture of the Keller Fountain. The choreography will reflect the beauty and fragility of winter against the unique character of the Keller Fountain, with striking lighting elements to create a vibrant visual display. The music is composed by Justin Ralls. The live recording of the chamber music work “Anthrophony” was originally recorded and premiered by Third Angle New Music Ensemble.
